LAS VEGAS - Visitors won't have to pay to park anymore at Las Vegas resorts Wynn and Encore properties.
Following the introduction of paid self parking and fee levied valet parking for non overnight staying guests of the hotel some years back - Wynn resorts has decided to scrap the charges, well almost. Self parking will be unvalidated free parking (like it should be - well done to Sands for never jumping on the charging band wagon) and valet will remain free for hotel guests and visitors of the hotel who spend $50 or more on property.
Personally, I think this is the right way forward and will hopefully be followed by the other major operators Caesars and MGM Resorts. Many people come to the strip for food, shows and entertainment and not to gamble, making it tough if not impossible for them to be recognized as a valuable contributor to a property - hopefully this will bring some of these guests back to the fabulous Las Vegas strip.
